Great price on LCD Monitor

The link worked for me -- it's a refurbished Sony LMD-170WS 17" Pro. You can look it up by the B&H USED CAT# 487498. In the specs page, it indicates that HD requires an optional accessory, the BKM-243HS, which costs $1499, SDI requires the BKM-220d ($415) and Firewire needs the BKM-255DV ($520). Does this fall into the "if it's too good to be true" category? Did you get the HD adapter, or are you able to see an HD pic without it?

i was able to use the second link. thanks. I'm looking at a 24" Gateway LCD monitor for full 1080 resolution. not a professional grade, but should do the trick.
Thanks though. sounds like a great find.

For the money, I'm very pleased. It's razor sharp and I'm feeling confident that it could be used for HD color grading. The HVX200 images look incredible on it in both 720p and 1080i. SD provides a smaller picture in the monitor or a scaled image with black bars on the side. It has a wide selection of safety and center markers, Blue gun only, deep menus, and physical controls which allows me to set bars easily. It also has a full warranty. A colleague bought one a little over a year or so ago and paid almost 5K. (with the SDI board)

It works well in the edit suite and I'm using it in the studio next week. It's too bulky to do any type of location shooting.

A great monitor for the price.
