Great new Brevis footage

the trailer reminds of that scene in Baraka, where people were harvesting trash for food. Very powerful stuff. Looks good.

Some of the best stuff I've seen from the brevis...not only technically but also thematically. Excelent work.

Jesse and I spoke about the Brotherhood spot (and he posted his very first forum post shortly after!) so we have a few more details. A direct quote from his post:

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, we used the HVX and Brevis on every shot. Shot at 720pn, using Nikon lenses (28-70 2.8 ED, 80-200 2.8 ED, 105 Macro.) We had some extension tubes too, Sachtler V60 head and heavy duty legs.

Some grx were custom props others were After Effects. The vignetting was a desired effect, some was added in post for consistency. Finished on FCP 5.1.4 down converted to SD with Kona II card. The track is the Dropkick Murphys.

DPs were myself and Charles Gruet (thegruman@mac.com), we alternated sets and locations, so we could get everything shot in the time we had. Shot on location in Providence, R.I.

He shot using CF1 before CF1L had been released, so we're fixing him up with the updated CF1L for his adapter...that 80-200 will be much happier.[/quote]

Those look really good. Definitely gives me the itch to go shoot some more city stuff.

I remember seeing that promo the other night too.

I forget which CF1 I have also.

wow, amazing footage! places like that, far far away from our spoiled lifestyle, offer so much beauty with their harshness.
