Great Camera Work - Ice Dancing

This is the rig he likely uses https://www.oniceperspectives.com/about. I have also shot dance for best part of 40 years starting with my daughters at 5years old and then getting into shooting the dance schools videos. So from the perspective of the dancers and teachers a single full stage shot with no cut is what they would like. A pure record of the performance. That way they see the dance. For parents of young kids they want to see the kids faces ( since they do not move much ) As the kids get older the full stage dance becomes more important for them. May not be artistic but they want a record of the dance to relive the memory. I try to at least get all the kids faces on closeup for each dance but try to focus mainly on full stage so everyone can see the dance. It depends who the shoot is for. My daughters are now in their 40's with two kids of their own but still watch their recital performances and point out what their friends did in the dances.
