graphic card

Sorry Voytek. I can't answer your question but I wanted to congratulate you on your signature: distribution deal and two awards! That's great. If you could post the short, I'd love to see it, as I'm sure others would too.

And where in NY are ya? We might be neighbors.

Rick

I wouldn't bother with a 6600 GT at that price. First, you can get one cheaper by checking sites like Pricewatch.com. But you can also get buy with something lower. You could get a nice 6200 for about $120. Really your video card has nothing to do with render times, so I would save your money by buying a cheaper video card and getting a faster processor. What are the specs of your computer right now?

The video card doesn't matter with Vegas. Vegas doesn't use the card. You just want a card which can give you dual-monitor output (almost all can) and resolution of at least 1024x720 (which all can).

I've had my ATI radeon 9600 PRO for around 3 years. Back then, I paid $200 for it, but you can swing one now for around $99. It can give you dual monitir support. That's all you need in vegas. No heavy graphics rendering like in games....
