Grain in recorded video on dvx100 --> is this normal ?

I have checked that my dvx100AE is making a little little grain ... (like this same as you will turn on a Gain from Low do High - ) . What is cause of this poor quality ?.Meaby used 3 ccd ?
There is no grain when I am recording during suny day (meaby a little bit). When there is a cloudier then you can see it.

Post a screen cap for us to look through. Far as I can tell, the lower the light, the more grain you'll see. Haven't figured out a way to get rid of it, hopefully others may have a trick or two.

You can turn your detail down and turn your detail coring up. This will help get rid of grain. The DVX has noise, no doubt about it. Sometimes you just have to live with it. I would not say this is a defective camera.

If you look and become familiar with your camera menus you will see these options. There is a setting for detail and a separate setting for detail coring. Detail is what you think it is, and detail coring helps to smooth out noise in the image.
