I shot a 30 min video last year in Slog3 that I am hoping to be allowed to do the grading on. It is being edited in Premiere and if I were not grading, the editor would do the grading in Premiere. I would prefer to grade in Resolve .
My concern though is that the piece (a narrative fantasy) will have an enormous number of graphic effects throughout. My assumption is that most of these will be done in after effects. Will those effects make it difficult to export to and then relink from Resolve?
What problems and solutions should I anticipate?
For obvious reasons, I want to be able to grade all the effects as well as the original Slog material . The original material was shot well and already looks pretty good in a quick grading I did for the editor in Premiere using basic LUTs modified by various Lumetri adjustments . Will this be easier to do staying in Premiere despite the fact that its more cumbersome to grade in?
I have virtually no experience going from Premiere > Resolve > Premiere but there is only one way to learn.
Thanks for your suggestions.
