Grabs from "The Adventures of Jojo & Beans"

Here is the video and some screenshots from me and my buddy's second short together. It's called "The Adventures of Jojo & Beans", and it's about two hobos who roam the streets, trying to take care of each other and always getting into trouble. One plot twist is that they may be time-travelling hobos. We're not sure yet.

Anyways, check out the stills. No color correction, and haven't figured out how to de-interlace in imovie so the stills aren't all pixelated and jagged looking. Also, does anyone know a quick way to blur peoples faces out that we didn't get waivers for? What are the rules on stuff like that?

Hey isn't that the cast from strange bed people or something like that?

I think it looks pretty funny.

it seems like you got some jagged edges. Was something done to these grabs? they pretty much look stretched out of low res grabs

I like you guys I think you are definitly funny when you have a good story to stick to. Stange Bedfellows, as poorly as it was shot had me rolling. I know I would have laughed twice as hard had I not been taken out of the story, distracted by the poor video quality every so often. My two cents if I may, would be to study editing and lighting or at least look up "3 point lighting" (for interior shots) online you can do it with houselamps if you have to! Also invest in a shotgun mic it will definitly make your sound a hundred percent better. Buy Barry Greens DVX book! It's wealth of info on how to achieve the filmlook with your awesome camera. I know it's a lot for me to peel out in one reply and may be overwhelming but if you just list those three basic needs you'll be on your way to making better films. I hope this helps more than annoys! Keep it coming you guys are hilarious!

I liked most of the camera work, especially the cigarette scene. I didn't really like the video (the hobo's weren't believable and there was no real storyline).
Try a dolly and a shotgun mike (or a lavilier). Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next video.
