Grabs from the 80's

Here are a few grabs from a two day shoot at a music and food festival called "The Taste of Syracuse." Eddie Money still rockin' at age 94. All shot 24pa, contrast boosted a bit, slight grading in one and two.

It rained all day today which made for a tough shoot. But the camera held up well. I think my Rode shotgun might be permanently damaged from being 3 feet from the speakers. Thank god they were only interested in the visuals.

nice grabs man. I am still confused about getting a film look. Whenever I shoot, it always looks like yours...it looks like nice documentary stuff. I'm not sure what I'm missing to make it look more filmic.

did you use any extra lighting to get those night shots (the last one)? if so, what? peace!

Is it my imagination or does Eddie Money look like Mickey Rourke before a bender? Or is that after?

Muttonchops in the second pic looks like he's about to give you "the business."

Did you piss him off or something?

Muttonchops was off his rocker. I think he had a few too many...and it was only around 2 pm. He came up to me and asked when I was going to start interviewing people. So I sat him down and asked him a few questions.

Yeah Money does have a Mickey Rourke thing going. He even talks like him. But he's a super nice guy. Never met a camera he didn't like.

Nice move there.

I'm thinking that could have been one of those "bad situations" and you appear to have diffused it nicely with a little tete-a-tete.
