some grabs from a short I helped Neil (iamloser) produce.
These are all with preliminary color correction done.

Very Nice... very nice indeed..

the colour grade you did on it looks great... it is exactly the look I strive for.. comes across as very gritty...

good work.

Awesome. I'm not too much of a fan of the last few desaturated ones, although if they are in the context of a flashback, I wouldn't mind. The other ones are fantastic, especially the interior ones. What did you use for your CC?

Great work!

The CC was just done in premiere pro. No magic bullet, no added plugins, just the plain old premiere 'color corrector'. I gotta give credit to Neil for that though. He knows his stuff.

lol.. yeah, its a flashback. the timeline of the short might be too jump and cut confusing if i didnt somehow insinuate that certain scenes were in the past, so i went for the super desat ..near b+w look. it lends a certain grit and flare to the flashbacks without being cliche in context of the film.

we didnt really have a bundle of production time for it and for the exterior shots we had about the worst possible light conditions we couldve asked for.. and i didnt have anything strong enough to replace the sun with me in 56k. so i went for the griity and gloomy rainy type look for those EXT shots in post. its fits the segment well, and hopefully it will all turn out ok. should be done in a couple weeks.
