Grabs from Short Film - Finalist in Festival

Here are a few grabs from a short film we recently finished. It's been selected as a finalist in the Alice Radio 3 Minute Film Festival.

I was the D.P. on the film. Most of the shooting took place over a single weekend. Then a few pickup shots afterwards.

Filmed using:

DVX100a (ntsc)
- Redrock M2
- 24mm, 50mm, and 55-200mm lenses

I know... I know 'what settings' you ask? All 24pa but with small tweaks to the scene settings. Kept the master ped around -3, sharpness at +3.

We used an Arri Softbank Light Kit - 650 with a softbox for fill, a 300 for the key, and a 150 for a back light. There were a couple of practicals up on the ceiling that we bounced off the ceiling. Occasionally we tossed in another 300 for effect.

Lighting was still the hardest part of the whole setup process. Still learning as we go.
