Grabs from Failed Sci-Fi Fest Entry

Well, the main issue was that the focus busted on my dvx, so that in MF mode it goes into AF sometimes. So I can't maintain focus on the GG, so I can't use a 35mm adapter.

Right now the camera is in the shop, and it won't be out until way past the deadline, too.

Whatever, though. I definitely learned something from the experience. I appreciate all the positive feedback, too. Hopefully I'll avoid similar problems in the future, I guess.

Wear and tear. The aperture ring started acting up, then the focus issue appeared in the middle of the shoot.

According to the tech, it's a relatively common problem where one of the ribbon cables oxidizes around the contacts (sometimes a moisture issue) or something. Basically, a bad connection between the lens and body, I think. I hope it's nothing more than that.

...putting silica packet in camera bag now...

those shots look awesome. the characters look like they have story just by seeing their faces. i think you should really pull this together even just for yourself.

He's too modest to admit it, but Policar had a pretty awesome script going too...really too bad about the DVX, but you'll bounce back, I know.
