Alright my long awaited DVX finally arrived so I couldnt wait to post up my very first grabs ;D They might seem a bit blurred because I didn't have my tripod handy. Comments, critisism, insults... greatly apperciated  :o

comment: the grab with the headphones is nice - good use of the dynamic range, and what i assume to be available light. framing is also nice in the 3 grabs although its hard to judge overall composition on a singular inanimate subject with a blank background.

critisism: the grabs with the guitar case and guitar are underexposed and very flattly lit and blueish grabs are not white balanced properly. although again i assume it available light. - use more light or open the iris more.

insult: your mama is stupid.

Neil you think the headphones has good dynamic range because of the subliminal message in the picture :P

Your shots were fine and a little hard to judge given the confinement of the framing.

Your next step should be to shoot some wide shots. This is more of a challenge because there is more going on and you have to really think about balance and interest in your presentation of information.

I'm happy for you that you have finally gotten your DVX. I know how excited you were anticipating its arrival.

The last 2 stills are incredible. Composition and lighting are perfection. Beautiful shots.

avatuar - The DVX has a feature most people don't know about. It can shoot "moving pictures". ;D Come on, it's time to take your new relationship to the next level. Shoot some video and upload it.

Look forward to seeing more stuff form you.

Ha ha diggin the humor the $3.7K The camera cost didn't leave much in the buget for premeir so I'm slavin away to bring you those moving pics ;)

i'm just curious, but why is everyone posting a majority of close ups and no wide shots? I guess I'm saying this because it doesn't show me much professionalism of the dvx, it sort of shows me still photography with a motion camera. ;D
