Goyo noise reduction and deverb plug-in

I found mention of this over on JW Sound's PSM group. Always looking for a better mousetrap I tried it and results were impressive and you cannot beat the price. The 'Goyo Voice Separator' worked good on the narration test files I created with white noise and early reflections reverb. It eliminated the white (din) noise almost completely. . as good or better than my $$$ noise reduction tools. Eliminating room reflections was not as impressive, It left a slight flange effect artifact. It would certainly be usable though. www.goyo.app
I can post the demo files online if anyone is interest

Thanks Rick. Yes, I would like to listed to the files.

Hi Paul, you or anyone can listen and/or download the MP3 files here. ( https://tinyurl.com/252cd7ns )
I should mention, the 'Goyo Voice Separator' beta version is free. For Mac, PC, VST 2/3, AU and AAX.

"GOYO Voice Separator is an audio plugin that separates your audio into three channels (Ambience, Voice, Voice Reverb), giving you full control over the balance between your voice and all the rest"

Wow! For a freebie, that's a pretty useful tool. Thanks for the heads-up, Rick. Downloaded it and tried it on some old files which had a fair bit of noise, and with a bit of fiddling it does a job that's almost indistinguishable from my all-time favorite SoundSoap, which has bailed me out on numerous occasions. And for most jobs where it is needed, it is much simpler to use than SoundSoap. Soundsoap also cost a full fistful of $$$s. For $00.00 you can't lose!

Rick. For a freebie, I can see myself using it as it's so simple and quick to use. Especially on long history docos that require so much cleaning up of old archive material from all kinds of sources. Again, thanks for the heads-up. Impressed enough to literally to throw together a quick test that took all of three minutes to do. This is GOYO trialed out on an old political speech. Out of curiosity, I tried two other deverb tools on the same file for a comparision. results were about the same as the free Goyo tool, except... SpectraLayers Pro and Plug-in Alliance's SPL Deverb are far from free. I do not have iZotope's RX deverb tool to try. which is included in RX Standard and Advanced (the low cost RX Elements does not include deverb)

I gave it a try on a theater performance. I found that while it can reduce reverb and isolate voices it also can result in unnatural and inconsistent audio. It also caused FCPX to crash a couple of times which never happens. I'm not going to condemn it, because its free and it might have better results in controlled situations like an interview in a room that has reverb issues.
