Got reels?

I am interested in seeing anyone's reel, so as to get a frame of reference for what mine can look like. Can anyone post theirs or direct me to a site where I can see some.

thanks

The format for demo reels changes from person to person.

Most demo reels consist of a montage of their work organized by media, with music played over it.

There are really two options, the first is just to throw up on your website to just feature what you can do, the second is to create the reel specifically-geared towards employment.

For employment,
The time limits of these reels can last from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. It's best, though to put your best stuff first and make it as short as possible. If a company is reviewing reel's to determing a potential employee, they're not going to want to sit through an epic montage. So make it brief and feature your BEST work.

For just featuring your work,
Time doesn't matter as much but it's still better to keep it short. You've got a lot more room here to show off whatever you want.

I can't really help you anymore than that because I, myself don't have an up-to-date demoreel to show you. I made one for class a few years back as a project, and that's the last time I attempted such a project.

I'm sure if you just skimmed some DVXuser profiles, looking for website, you'd find quite a few reels.

Good luck man!

thanks for the info
this is for applying to film school and it has to be 15 minutes. But I'm struggling with either (a) showing as much different clips to show off different things I did- my versatility- (r) OR showing long clips so that the story and dialogue and sequences come across more.

I guess I just have to bite the bullet and cut stuff.
