I made yesterday my first testflight with my new Sony PMW-EX1R and my new tripod, and I'm really happy with both. After shooting about a year with DSLRs, I don't have the shallow DoF, if I don't want it, the low light capability is better than the 5D, considering that I want some depth and thus I need to step down on DSLRs to at least f5.6 and the whole workflow in FCP now is fun... no more transcoding to prores, gamma shift, really fast turnaround etc..
The new tripod head needs a bit getting used to, as it sometimes becomes obvious. Shot & edited the same day.

The Soviet War Memorial (sometimes translated as the Soviet Cenotaph), is a vast war memorial and military cemetery in Berlin's Treptower Park. It was built to the design of the Soviet architect Yakov Belopolsky to commemorate 5,000 of the 80,000 Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in April-May 1945. It opened four years after the war ended on May 8, 1949, and served as the central war memorial of East Germany.
