Got my DVX countdown DVD, but where's the beef?

Received my DVX Countdown DVD last night and it really has me excited, though I can understand the comments about the young lady appearing toward the end of the program. Anyway, it's great.

What I was hoping to find was technical detail on the HVX. I have the brochure, DVD and just about everything I could get my hands on, but can't find any detail beyond broad-brush.

I first expected "my camera" to deliver around the time of IBC but now I read it's December. My order's in the que at B&H, but it seems odd that specifics are not available. December's only six weeks away, after all.

Have I missed something?

what is on the dvd. do you know where one can be aquired? could you post any video updates from it?

thanks

HVX Promo DVD

I too got the Promo DVD. Most of the information I already knew but it was still nice.

The DVD can be ordered via the Panasonic web site. As dkirlew mentions, most of the information I also already knew. Visually it's a nice piece but I was hoping for real specs. There are none that I could find, but maybe I missed something??

Maybe Jan or Barry are reading thses posts. If so, how can I get the real technical story about HVX, please?

Let me save you guys some time and Panasonic a few bucks. Don't bother ordering the HVX Countdown DVD. It's lame and has nothing on it you don't already know. I had to force myself to finish watching it after the first few minutes, it's really that bad. The DVD is just another piece of worthless marketing drivel from Panasonic with no new information and no HVX footage. Also, the last segment comes across as extremely arrogant, but in a laughable way. As in, you laugh at how stupidly arrogant the video comes across. After seeing this DVD and the fake Panasonic blog, I think Panasonic should be embarassed at the way their products are being marketed in North America.

Panasonic- this DVD would have been worthwhile if you had at least included some example footage in DVCPRO50 SD and DVCPRO100 HD. Some files for us to test on our NLE's made with your other cams. I know the HVX isn't finished but you missed a golden opportunity to show how nice DVCPRO50 and 100 formats can be.

Well, don't hold back.

Some of us are still hopeful, but I must agree the DVD didn't provide much in the way of substance (or "beef").
