GOPRO hero 4 - will 60Mbps be high enough for 4K shooting???

I'll say it again and again and again. "IT'S A CAMERA THE SIZE OF A BOX OF MATCHES". Seems that 60mbps worked wonders here. If they can get this, why can't you?......
Sorry, that sounds like the same argument as saying "They shot House on a 5D, so surely it's good enough for you." I've never been a fan of that line of reasoning. Someone asked a question, I attempted to answer it. 5Ds may make pretty footage in one situation, and horrifically ugly footage in other situations -- and it was always thus, regardless of how many people tried to tell me I was wrong.

So someone asked if 60mbits was enough. I was trying to answer their specific question, comprehensively. I said it very well may be enough, and then tried to give some examples where the codec might possibly be stressed, so that folks could find out whether it works for them or not. I never said it couldn't shoot lava. I never said it wasn't "good enough" or even that it wasn't good enough for me. All I did was I tried to answer his question. I fail to see what's wrong with that.

Regarding Philip Bloom's "Initial Shots with Hero4" video on Vimeo, some guy posted that the Hero4 does not have manual control??? No exposure lock/control?

But GoPro's web site says: For those who prefer to take manual control of their GoPro to maximize versatility and performance, we’ve expanded our professionally minded Protune mode to include Color, Sharpness, ISO Limit, and Exposure controls for both photo and video capture.

So what does GoPro mean by "exposure controls"???

All I see is exposure compensation and ISO limit

May be best just to appreciate what these remarkable little cams do right rather than the myriad things they don't allow you to tweak.

this is for dustylense,

I have the Phantom 2 with h3-3d gimbal which is the same as you seem to be using. I'm not getting the Gopro hero 4 black to transmit video to my monitor of the RX -TX. it will record but nothing in my monitor.

did you have this issue or did you have to do something to fix this?

thanks

david
