GH3 GoPro + GH2 Setup Video

Where did you find a Black edition to purchase? I didn't think they were shipping yet.

And I could probably find this easily, but I'll ask any way. lol. What's the charging port connector type?

Mini USB.

They're rolling into Best Buy, 3 to 5 days from order in my neighborhood (Northern Cali).

I kept telling myself I should wait I should wait until some more of the glitches get fixed, but I'm way foolish and self-indulgent. And ... My remote won't charge. The Cineform tool that should update the remote won't see my Hero3. The downloadable firmware update that is required for the Hero3 doesn't update the remote. The remote won't pair with my Hero2 WiFi BacPac, so I can't do the firmware upgrade that way. But that's OK because the Cineform can't see the WiFi BacPac on the Hero2 although it saw it once to do that firmware upgrade. The iOS app that would make the remote unnecessary won't be out until the middle of December, if it arrives on time, which seems a bit unlikely since the last one for the Hero2 was delivered about 10 months late. I kept telling myself I should wait, I should wait.

When I read posts about the BMC delay talking about GoPro shipping on time I am almost amused, but my once excellent humor has been sacrificed in the service of action cams.

UPDATE

My battery issues were resolved by updating my GoPro 3 Black firmware from version HD3.03.01.05 to HD3.03.01.09. Now the front light illuminates while charging and turns off when complete. The back light never turns on during charging now.
