GoPro file won't play (mods please move as necessary)

I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so it defaulted here. Apologies.

After a shoot last night, we saw that our GoPro camera wasn't recording. We knew we started it up, though. Checked it today, and the first two files (out of three) play fine. The third doesn't work. It won't open in Quicktime, MPEG Streamclip, or the VLC player. But it's 2.69 GB. Any ideas what could bring this footage up?

What does it record to? sd card? if so, don't use the card again and it may be salvageable. If it does indeed use sd cards, and if you're on a mac, here's a process that worked for me:

We pulled all of the files off the camera, and the last one was the busted one. Another member here sent me to a GoPro support forum that used a Perl script to recover the corrupt video. Pretty awesome, I must say!
