I find it hard to believe that print will ever die. People like to hold a newspaper in their hands and when they're done with it they can pass it along, recycle it, use it to start a bonfire, wrap fish with it, or toss it.

People say lots of things, people are wrong. We always think that "this" will never happen or "that" will never happen, I'm not saying I'm one of those "doomsdayers" but to think that technology won't get to a point where it's out of controll is naive, it already is. And it's coming for you, it already has you... The Matrix has you... Sorry I couln't help it!

Joe,

I feel what your saying man!! People ***** about having no rights and how their privacy is constantly being invaded, but then go out and buy ever piece of privacy invading technology there is: Cell phones, Tivo, GPS, etc. and beyond. It's crazy!! I think technology is *off the hook* right now.....I can't possibly imagine what life will be like when *we* are 50-75 years old. I just want to enjoy the ride and die happy!! Maybe I'll even have a casket sculpted to look like a DVX or something. Who knows!?!

Technology got out of control when I first tried the wheel  err, the bicycle.

It's been going downhill ever since, literally and figuratively.

And, ROBOT is a Czech word. Knowing what I know about central European geology, I am pretty sure that's where E.T.s first landed. Now you know, too.

Which reminds me - I should watch Men In Black again. Love those flicks.

Isn't that the one with Will Smith who plays that action guy who says cliche' stuff and acts all funny and stuff?

Yup, that one. A perfect movie when you just want to turn off on Friday night, have a beer, have sex while it's running because you know you won't miss anything... pure entertainment.

Any word on file size limit (if any)?

From the FAQ...

What are the system requirements for the Google Video Uploader? Is there a size limitation? A maximum number of videos I can upload?

You can upload as many videos to Google Video as you like, without any size or length limitations. However, we do require the following:

* You must be operating on Windows 98 or higher to install the Uploader.
* You'll need a broadband connection to upload video.

I'm actually reading the ToS agreement now. No obscene or pornographic content...

Dang, and I had high hopes for starting a porn production company... I was just waiting for server space. Oh well.

They say some stuff to the effect of if your video is so popular that you are eating too much bandwidth, they can charge to offset the cost. I'm sure they don't intend to do that, but are putting it out there "just in case."

Oh, and Egon in Ghostbusters proclaimed "Print is dead"... but I still read books, and look forward to getting free copies of DV magazine and stuff in the mail (good bathroom reading! ha!)

Man the day print dies, I hope I'm dead. I hate electronic reading. Computer, handheld, I don't even believe I'll like electronic paper. It's just too artificial.

whats the deal with the 2014 stuff? is it some sorta of elaborate prediction? Ive never heard of the Daily Rundown till now.

I doubt things would go that crazy

in 2014, APPLE will take over everything.

so who's hosting what video? I can already see video content nightmare....

some people found it hard to believe the earth was round.

some people suggested open reel tape would be the medium to never die...

bill gates thought thre average user of the PC would only need a few Megs of storage space...

there are already several magazine companies who offer electronic print of their magazines instead of paper ones...

but yeah its nothing like having the book in your hand..

as someone said on a forum a while back..

yeah reading on the internet is good, but you just cant put the internet on the back of the toilet...

The earth is round? And I suppose the earth isn't the center of the universe either, right? Ahh, craziness abounds at DVXuser.com ;)

Lol....................

by the by, that video was sweet! i just passed it along to another (film) forum.. watch it spread across the world...
