Good settings for Sports

Hey guys, can anyone tell me which setting will be good for shooting football. I will be standing on the side lines shooting some college football and would like to know the best setting for this. Is it 60I? F4? Progressive: 60I or what? I am using the DVX100A. Thanks a lot.

I would use interlaced and as close to F16 as possible if it is for TV. If the players wear a lot of reds I would be careful using a cine-like matrix as they boost the saturation and colors may bleed, especially reds.

if you plan on slomo then 30p or 60i might be better, although a 24p/25p framerate with motionblur is also interesting. go testing ;-)

There will be some red because that is what the colors are for the team and also this is for Television broadcast. I can't use the 24P because the entire production is shooting on beta cam, I did not want the video to mis-match. I will only be getting the side line footage. Anymore suggestions?
Thanks
