good repair facility

My still under warantee dvx 100a has suddenly developed several problems. Looking for feedback on who the best authorized repair facility is. Who do you recommend or who do you recommend I stay away from?

I'd recommend Rob's Repair in Kent, WA or Digitron Electronics in Los Angeles (Eric)...both are reliable.

Just talked to a friend who went to the local authorized pana repair place. they said 2 weeks before looking at it!
Panasonic phone support just asks where you are and gives you the closest facility. They market this as a professional camera so I expect professional level of service. 1 week max for most repairs.
Talked to several people who own XL-1's and they got 1 week turnaround with shipping.

Regarding the two suggestions above, what was the speed of turnaround? Did they have parts on hand? Did they have regular experience working on DVX's?
FedEx is cheap. Anywhere in the US will be fine as long as it's done right and quick.

Turn around was excellent. Call and ask. And ask fvvs about their experience with DVXs. Some of their guys used to work for the pana division that used to service the cam. I'm sure if you are nice and sweet, they will take care of you! :-*

my dvx fell off a tripod onto the lens. Had to replace the whole lens cause the focus wheel broke. Cost a lot :'( . Pany sent me to one of there authorised repair places. They did a great job!!

i had my firewire port blow and the guys who fixed it were wonderful!

they are in massachusetts but what the hell, ups/fed isn't that much money and for a really good service center its worth it.

of course i am in massachusetts so i drove there to drop it off and pick it up :)

i highly recommend them. they do all the stuff for the big colleges in boston and they have seen just about everything and most of the stuff they work on is panasonic.

Fox Valley Video Service came through very nicely.
They repaired it the same day it came in. Had all parts on hand. Shipped it out free which is covered under warantee. All employees were very helpful over the phone with info regarding the repair.
Centrally located in Illinois so easy access to everybody!
I'm very happy and would recommend them to all.
