good Microphone ?

hey there i would like to know whats a good Microphone to get for doing interviews with! i dont want to spend crazy money on one!
 
Well if you want a good cheap combo then I would go with the Rode video mic. It comes with windscreen, built in shock mount, and is only around 120.00; however, you will need a xlr cable adapter. If you are concerned about quality then you may think about stepping up to the rode ntg-2. This mic is very good but will cost you around 250-300 just by itself. So really it's up to you. If you want quality then maybe step up to the rode ntg-2 or sannheiser etc... This being said, the rode video mic is a great price and comes with a lot more. Also has very nice quality for a non xlr mic. But, if you will be holding the mic (interview/news style) then any high end music mic would also do. Just make sure it's xlr or else it will lose quality. So I hope that helped you out a bit. The bottom line is this, like anything, the more money you spend the better the quality you will USUALLY get. So sometimes it saves you more money in the end by just getting top of the line equipment. Lastly, the best advice would be to search this forum along with others and get some opinions. Also, read as much as you can before the purchase. You will find out many things about products this way. Good luck.
