Good ME66 Shockmoutn for boom use

Hi,

My company is looking into buying a Sennheiser ME66 shotugn mic along with a Gitzo G-557 or G-557C boom. We are a news gathering company so we do plenty of run and gun shoots and dont waant the mic to plop to the ground. I would appreciate if someone could suggest a good alternative to Sennheiser's expensive MZS20-1.

I bought the AT815 shockmount with the KTEK bands from Rush at EVS. Works very well.

Hi Johnny, kplo is right on the money, but it is the AT8415, and you have to buy the KSUS suspenders for it to make it stronger for the ME66, combo is $63.50.

This mount seems like it would acomodate a Lightwave MS-106 Miniscreen. Am I right? Also what can you tell me about the Miniscreens...Do they work well alone without the optional MS-106 Windmaster? thanks again!
 
Yes it will accomodate it well.

They work well without the windmaster, but they work best with it. I know it is pricey, but they are much better with the MWM-106's.

Ill look into the MWM-106 for our package. Also, I've read you have great prices and service over there at EVS. Unfortunatley our boss prefers another dealer. But I'll be sure to let you know when I've saved enough for my own setup...!
