Good Lav for external audio recorder

I'm having a hard time deciding on a mic to use on something like the Sony PCM-M10 Audio recorder. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Not using it for a lot of projects, as it is backup audio, so something on the affordable side (around $120) would be nice.
 
What kind of work is it for? Back up to a boom? Or to a camera mount? I can tell you that you can't get a decent mic for 120$. Renting will give you much better results.
