I shot same scene using a 7D and the AF101. I got cleaner image from the AF101 at 320ISO so for me it's a better tool.
good in low light - right or wrong? + 1st impression

Except for the Sigma, I have the same lenses Pietro has (plus a few others). I agree, those are a great place to start along with the 14-140 without breaking the bank. The high end Olympus f2 zooms are supposed to be pretty great, but you're entering a different price point. The Oly 14-54 with 4/3 adapter stays on my camera most of the time. It won't get you f0.95 ligting by candle, but it will gather a lot more light than the kit. Switch to the 20mm pancake when you need even more light.
