Good Idea to watch edited HD footage on TV?

I have a Western Media Player and it does a great job of playing files, even hacked ones, off the GH1. I load the files onto a USB thumb drive or SD attached to a USB card reader or a portable drive and it reads them all fine. When I was thinking about a TM700 a while back I tried some of its files and it played back 1080 60p as well. Only trouble with the canons was that it would not play back the sound. There may be a newer firmware update that allows it know, I don't know. Overall it's a great little toy, gets used all the time while my blu ray collects dust
