Good footage, major problem. Help.

I just took this footage yesterday. Thought it was great. It looks fine in FCP, but when I export it through Quicktime as H.264, I get these awful artifacts. How do I fix this?

Not an expert by any means, but I'd say it has something to do with Interlacing - the original, was it shot p or i and are the settings for the QT output set for the same?
 
Much thanks -- it was an interlacing problem. I shot it in 24p but apparently you have to de-interlace even if shooting progressive. I'll post the new footage.
