Good deal or scam?

I was looking around on ebay for a new computer and found a seller who claims to buy bare bones macs and then upgrade them at a lower cost than what apple would charge. It seems scam-ish but they have a fairly high feedback rating and it seems like ebay would have shut them down if they were ripping people off. Heres a link to their store:

You may find mainline outfits that do this. A year ago, I purchased a MBPro from BH. It was barebones configured, and purchasing ram and a bigger drive left the total price about $350 less than a Apple configured machine. The upgrades were easy DIY jobs.

Seems that most of those are MacBooks and iMacs.

Can't upgrade video cards on either, and depending on which models, upgrading HDDs is hard or easy for a user to do.

And RAM is very easy to upgrade.

No bargain it seems

That's about how much I paid total for my MBP and Ram upgrade. And it was as maxed out as I could directly from Apple.

Doesn't seem like a bargain to me either.
