good camera bag for DVX100A and accessories

I just got a new 100A and would like to buy a carrying case for it. I'm thinking about one of those good quality semi-hard bags from Sachtler. It needs to hold and protect the camera at very least. Plus, have enough room for filters, manuals(Barry's book), extra batteries, wires and tapes. Do you guys keep your mic in the same case or in a seperate case? In a seperate case probably make more sense.

any recomendations? Thanks.

go pelican case or harddig storm case - 1500-1600 range.
hard plastic, unbreakable, waterproof, etc.. with foam on the inside.
pelican cases can be found at b&h for a good price, or poke around elsewhere.
sachtler case sounds like extreme overkill, but that's just an educated guess based on how expensive all their other stuff is.

wombosi.

I would also agree with the Pelican case. I have the 1550 and I love it. Before that I was using a Cine Bags Production Bag, which has plenty of space for the DVX plus a slew of other things. I would suggest that if not the Pelican.

Pelicans are great, but they’re also big and anything but discrete. Hard to take everywhere. The first time I filmed my daughters music recital, I brought my dvx in my Pelican and had to setup out in the hall because it was too big to take into the rows. Then I had to leave the case with shotgun & lavalieres outside. Yikes! I was nervous the whole time. After that, I bought a nice Lowe backpack. Still have the Pelican, but now when I go on treks in the city or places where I want to be a little more discrete, I take the bag. It protects the camera plenty well and I use my cameras much more often now.

So I guess I’m saying you should consider your lifestyle and how you plan to use the camera when deciding on a case.
