In addition to Barry Green's book and DVD (the DVX Bible) I recently read the book below. It has a lot of info on the overall use of 24p and the DVX 100 variants. It covers all aspects of 24p from pre-production to production and post. It explains film gamma vs video gamma and the DVX Cinelike settings to emulate film gamma qualities. It is a very good compliment to Barry's book not a replacement. Barry's DVD with the visual breakdown of the DVX scene settings is still the best I have seen.

The book is good for anyone wanting to learn more about the craft of production work flow as well as the critical issues for camera set up, exposure control and sound.

BTW I am not employed by Barry or CMP books :) but I see a lot of requests for this type of guidance from newbies to to 24p and DVX and thought I would share this as I believe both Barry's book and this new book work well in answering a lot of the questions. The book is available through DV magazine or direct from Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books A Million web sites.
