Good book about film lighting for professionals?

I have read Kris Malkiewicz "Film Lighting" and like the examples with lots of detailed drawings of lighting setups.

Unfortunatley the book is 20 years old and there is lots of great new lighting equipment.

What is the most informative book for film professionals about lighting setups for cinema and advertising?

I don't know if it's the most informative, but Blain Brown's book, Motion Picture & Video Lighting, is pretty informative, and the second edition is dated 2008.

Matters of Light and Depth by Ross Lowell.

This book won't teach you much about hardware. It will teach you how to think.

Second the Set Lighting Handbook.

Even though many of these books are older and dated in the specific equipment, the standard practices remain similar. Some of the more modern things you will see out there on major sets are LED's and moving lights. LED's are handy for the lower power consumption and moving lights are being hung on stages more so that many lighting setup can be programmed and changed very quickly by the console op. But the basic ideas of lighting, positioning and contrast have not changed much since the early days.

Thanks.
I read "Set lighting ..." and it is VERY technical. What I would really like is a book with lots of lighting examples and setups and how it looks afterwards in the movie. Not so much theory or technical terms, more the artistic approach with setup examples from real life and pictures how they did it. (like "Motion picture ...")

Jimmy Moss: I could find books in your thread, which one do you mean?
