Being in a cave, we ran 600ft of electrical over water, mud and rocks. Expansion bolts were placed and patched to suspend all electric. The cave was lit off one 6500 watt honda generator.

In we go. All gear had to be moved by boat, schlepped up rocks, mud, through water, you name it.

LEDs were our friend, very low power consumption. They put out a ton of light as well.

Working in a dark, wet, rocky, and muddy cave was quite the challenge.

The incredibly talented gaffer and climber, Darin Limvere. If you ever need to light a cave, he's your man.

Scouting lighting location A, had to bag it. Way too wet, and way too dangerous.

The producer, all about getting dirty.

That's it, hope you enjoyed.

That was interesting. However, I wonder what the potential was for environmental and wildlife damage due to foot traffic, wave action and lighting.

None. The water was filthy, and the cave used to be filled with garbage, it was later cleaned out by a non profit that restored the cave. We are always very cautious and responsible when shooting in places like this. The cave also floods and fills up in the spring and heavy rain, bringing all sorts of junk back into it.
