Golden Era of Cinema; Make-up.

Came across these make-up charts while doing some light reading from my library.

Oh the golden era. Great to see how they paint out shadows and highlights with makeup along with lighting.

I'm sure, to a very close extent, this is continued today. Despite the classic glamor close-up, as they knew it, being gone.

The Wife has not done acting and modeling portfolios for a very long time, but as of the 80's she would use shadowing make up to take in chin/jaw lines (or make them...). Not quite the pancake of yesteryear, but definitely 'adding to nature'... or taking away... depending...

Library? I think I remember a professor talking about those once. It's like the internet but already printed out, right?

Cool find, btw. Definitely still applicable to lighting and filming.
