Well, tomorrow at around noon (central time) myself, my wife, our two young daughters and my best friend Ronnie (R.L. Jackson for those of you who saw my lovefest entry) are headed on a two month journey. we're driving to L.A. over 4 days. Then flying out to Indonesia for 6 weeks, and then back to L.A. and then to Vegas for NAB before heading back home.

Anyways, Ronnie and I decided to set up a little blog that we'll try to keep updated with pics, vids, and stories and such detailing our journey.

Just thought I would share it with those of you interested.

You can check it out here. There are a few entries by myself and Ronnie that kinda detail what we'll be doing and why we're going and such. We'll update along the way.

Wow, what an adventure you're about to have! At least, you won't be missing your family.

Have a great time! I'll be watching you :) (figuritively, of course, errr...it's not like I'm going to take the four hour drive down to LA and hunt you down. Or better yet, drive out the the greatest city in the World (Vegas, baby!) to find you...right? I wouldn't do that...) Haha, sorry, sometimes I get a little hyped up. Anyway, if I didn't already say it, have fun, and I'll keep track along the way!
 
Indonesia sounds good, but avoid crowded places, specially in Bali- not to sound over alarming, but its a place that has been plagued with terrorist attacks. Its paradise on earth, but ruined by the unstable political climate. Avoid ex-pats and foreign people filled Discos and Bars.

I would love to go to Bali and East Timor... Saw pictures of the beaches and would love to check out the culture... I just don't feel too safe to go there just yet...

Anyway, enjoy your trip. That's a dream vacation!
 
We'll be mixed int eh community with the wife's family. I went there with my daughter last year, and was scared at first, but after a while, I was walking down the street by myself. We'll be on a different island than Bali. Mostly in Jakarta and some other small towns. But, within the community, not staying in western places :)

I had one impression from the t.v. before I went there, and left with a completely different impression.

Place I love is a place called Kampung Daun. Little mountain above Bandung. and it's not so hot there like in Jakarta.
