camera got here today, 4 months later than expected (long story). Now i have MORE questions.

First on all, I was messing with the settings and have no idea what Master Ped does.

Anyone feels like enlightening a newb?... Barry in da house?

Master ped deepens or lightens your blacks. Set it lower, and the blacks get deeper and more impassable -- but the scene gets darker, too. Raise it, and the blacks grey out, but you can see more detail in the shadows (though set it too high and everything gets hazy).

It has a very similar effect to contrast.

there was an old article on that over here, but even when I acess the www.dvxuser.com/articles I can't acess it. It's a real shame, because it's very enlightning....

Dadid pretty much covered it. Mess a little with it and you'll see.

On my Dvx100 it doesn't go to -15. Is that for the dvx100a?
