Goblins may be scary, but nothing's as frightening as...

...A dangerous idea. Or the people who have them.

Elmer Lang, for instance. Elmer is a genuine, certified dangerous man. And though many watch his films with pleasure, others fear the new, the original, and so react with consternation, confrontation or even silence ('maybe he'll go away' -

).

But tell me the great Lenny Bruce wouldn't have a screaming jealous fit, kicking in his coffin (like a million other geniuses alive or dead) because he didn't come up with this idea.

Dangerous Enough (4:23) - I think, therefore I scare.

Or how's about this one. Some will shiver for a week after watching this. How dare Elmer have these thoughts, much less express them? Where's the thought police when you really really need 'em, huh? Quick! Someone dial 911.

Snake (4:34) - Anger. Oppression. Right and wrong. (An Early Elmer film, it's a bit rough visually, but kick ass idea-wise.)

And just to keep the record straight:

From Darkness, Light (1:36) - Say it ain't so? Some people won't even say it. (And roll over, Weburn. Or do I mean John Cage.)

I watched Dangerous Enough.

I have to say... I love your stuff. I mean, hopefully people won't take the use of the WORD the wrong way and they'll grasp the concept.

Either way, some people may be offended.

I just hope they get the message and are not offended just by the use of the WORD itself. Either way, you make some interesting movies.

Thanks for watching and writing. It's actually courageous to say you liked the movie. Folks shouldn't be offended, but then many people want to be offended, righteous indignation is so empowering. Especially for white people. It is so rare that they actually get the chance to feel genuine, certified righteous indignation that they leap at the chance even when it doesn't exist. So one can hope for reason, getting it is a bit more dicey.
