...Don't laugh, there are a few part-time Mom / part-time pro photographers here in Toronto who are commanding and getting $1,000 for a one hour sitting that includes a basic print package, and they are booked up sometimes 3 months in advance. ( My sister and one of my best friends hired two different Mom-Pro photographers, and the photos were really quite good, and I am coming from a background of 10+ years as a corporate location/studio photographer. )

They are definitely not tech-heads, but rather they are social-butterflies who completely understand their clientele ( who are essentially just like them ) and often have a very good visual eye when it comes to photographing babies and kids.
