Gloves...

Re: Gloves...

I've had my name misspelled and mispronounced so many times that I tend to notice the spelling of other's names.

FYI... it's pronounced like 'Lassiter', but I've had people say it like 'Luh-say-ter'.

Ha! :D

You're probably the only person besides me who even knows of that movie. :)

I never saw it. Is it worth watching?

As often as is reasonable, take the camera inside for a bit to let it warm up. I did it every hour for a half hour, and as TC said, the footage was fine that day. If you're ever taking a break from actual shooting, I'd use that time to warm it up - that way it'll guarantee you did what you could.

I'm just wondering.

Does taking the dvx inside and back outside and back inside etc etc etc.... lead to "Condensation" inside the camera ???

Re: Gloves...

Hum, after reading all these posts, I'm starting to wonder if filming stuff using my FEET instead of these so-called "Hands" was a mistake. My feet never get cold and the socks don't interfer with any of the regular panning, zooming or focusing chores. But so many of you seem to prefer using your hands. (strange, but when in rome i guess).

I'll give your wacky "Hand" solution a try and see if it improves my shots any.

Re: Gloves...

It's funny if you read thistlebop's posts, becase he is always putting things in "quotation marks."

Just something I noticed. ;D

Re: Gloves...

well i was just placing an order with b&h for some small misc. matthews adaptors so i added a pair of the lowepro gloves and i'll report back...

they look a LOT like the cycling gloves i have had in the past except they sound like they added a high tech insulation layer vs. the straight cotton that the cycling gloves use.
