A very nice movie from Sebastian Leilo, and was apparently a re-make of a previous movie of his "Gloria" from 2013.

This is the same director who did the excellent "A Fantastic Woman" which I started a thread on here on dvxuser. He also did the fairly recent "Disobedience" which I found somewhat disappointing. But "Gloria Bell" is a return to form, much more in the vein of "A Fantastic Woman". It's a somewhat more subtle film than AFW, just a character study, really, so it kinda left a lot of viewers hostile who were expecting more of a forward movement narratively speaking. That said, it has just an ungodly brilliant performance by Julianne Moore - it's worth watching, and re-watching, just for that! Very nice pacing and good direction, excellent use of music, and similar excellent titles as in AFW. If you want to see a somewhat more adult movie, with some subtlety that doesn't try to lead the viewer to any particular conclusion, then this is a super worthwile movie.
Highly recommended.
