The video above will give you some information about the new Glidetrack SHOOTER. This is the worlds first and only combined camera slider/shoulder support for vDSLR users. This is aimed particularly at Event shooters and people who want to keep there gear list to a minimum. This one product offers you the ability to go from adjustable floor mounted slider, to tripod mounted slider to shoulder support in seconds. There is nothing else on the market that can offer this amount of felxibility and speed which is what event shooters need. Being an event shooter myself, I have a clear understanding of what an event shooters needs and wants are, and this ticks ALL the boxes.
In summary, it:-
a) Doubles up as a shoulder brace for all you 5d, 7d and smaller camcorder users.
b) The new hand grips also act as levellers for uneven surfaces. They can be adjusted without tools in a fraction of a second, you just press the button and turn, then release to lock!
c) You can set them in an instant to whatever position you like using one hand.
d) For normal Glidetrack sliding you just flip them up in line with the track
e) The carriage can now be locked in position using the small adjuster on the side of the carriage
f) The shoulder mount works REALLY well. The rail is countered and in my book it doesn't need any padding, as it's comfy as is.
g) The rear foot locks in behind your shoulder and gives you something to brace/triangulate against.
h) The current feet have been made lighter and re-shaped very slightly so that they now slot/snap into the track more neatly for packing/transportation.
i) Will fit easily in your luggage for transportation/travel.
j) Available in SD and HD Ranges
Things still up for debate are
Shoulder padding-If people want it, I WILL fit some foam cushioning to the rail and rear foot.
Central Support - Again, if the conscensus is that you want it, I WILL supply the removeable centre support.
Any other suggestions...fire away!
