Good "Small" B-Camera to accompany HVX200

Hello all -

I was looking to get some feedback and recommendations for a quality smaller HD Camcorder to purchase to use in conjunction with my HVX200. This footage would be used as BRoll, Behind the Scenes, footage where I gotta keep more low profile and can't bring out the HVX.

Most of my footage is shot in 24p 720.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

How about the AG-HSC1U? It's being billed as a companion to the HVX200, capable of outputting images that should intercut easily.

I too was thinking of the HV20... We just shot a music video that used the HV20 alongside my HVX so when it's through posting I'll put up some clips. I've heard some mixed reviews on the other cam... a good b-camera in the 2k price range would be something I need in April

I bought a Canon HV20 and was very impressed with the footage.

One thing to be aware of is that it does not do fast movement well while in progressive mode due to its scrolling shutter. Any fast movements make things look like they are made of Jell-o. This was a major issue for me so I returned mine.

Do not consider the new AVCHD Canon HG-10. While it shoots 1080i/24p, there is strong strobing on pans. Moreover the footage didn't look crisp. I was disappointed.
