I am still into balancing my varizoom and get kinda the same results, but I am not happy yet. I am sure it can do more . . . balancing must be the trick.

Nothing more boring than filming a cat on a counter. Until you shoot it with the Stabilizer! Suddenly there is excitement! Wow. A moving camera really does the trick. NIcely done and so smooth. I itried this with my cats a couple of months ago and they ran.

gorgeous, fluid motion.. i love that.. i'm not familiar with glidecams, what am I looking at as far as cost for a decent rig, like you're using..

Im using the glidecam 2000 that I bought used for only 2000 kr (~250usd) It´s a handheld rigg and u will get tired pretty fast in your arm. I think the original price for it is around 4-600 usd. Its really god for planned shots but a strong arm and much training is recommended ;) Ivé also bought the armbrace so its easier to use the remote zoom control on the rigg but if I don´t need to zoom I never use the armbrace it makes you less flexible. here´s my rigg: http://w1.854.telia.com/~u85419426/dvx100/gliderigg.jpg

excellent.. i've been pricing them on BHphotovideo.com and the 2000 seems like a great deal.. i'm sure you do get tired, so it's probably best to have planned shots. i can't get over how smooth that motion is. i guess its just a counter-balance setup that keeps the camera steady and corrects for the unstable movement of the average person's arm..

25p? how are the wondows coming on the PAL monitor when you move around. heavy stutter? i need one of these glidecams....

Looks exactly like mine! I got my Glidecam 2000 of of one of our members here. Yes, the arm is brutal but for planned shots you just suck it up.

ok i found it thx, i was looking at one of those glidecams with a vest and all :D haha

looks really good, didn't know you could make shots like that with a simple thing like that. now i still need to find an affordable dvx100a in europe :(
