Glidecam X-10 and Glidecam HD-4000 for 5D

Hello,

I found only good comments about the combination of Glidecam X-10 and Glidecam HD-4000 for the 5D. Does anybody here uses it? Does it worth the $$ ? From what I found this video:

It looks fantastic. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. I plan to later use it with a Scarlet (if there will ever be one!)

Yes, I have that system. It works very well . I made two important modifications that I think are necessary. I drilled (at a machine shop) a hole at the top of the post and another at the bottom to allow me to run an HDMI cable thru the post. Then I purchase from smallhd the DP-1 which can take the HDMI signal right out of the 5D and mounted it on the front of the base with a yoke mount.. Crucial to operating it right is to take classes or buy the Steadicam training DVD and Operations manual. The techniques they teach for balancing and use are pretty generic.
