Glidecam Question

Hey guys,
I have the Glidecam HD 4000 and I was wondering about something. I like to use my Wide Angle Tamron 10-22 on it sometimes (on a Canon 7D) but I really like the cinematic look that the 50mm Canon 1.8 gives me. The problem with the Canon 1.8 is that it doesn't have image stabilization and its quite jittery sometimes. Does anyone know of any really nice lenses that work well with a glidecam that can give that nice shallow depth of field but also remain pretty steady? Maybe a 35mm? Thanks guys!

You'll be hard-pressed to find examples of stabilizer work (Glidecam, Steadicam, etc.) shot with anything 50mm or longer. Even 35mm is pushing it. Once you hop on a stabilizer, you need to stay wide as the longer the lens, the more every little bump and wobble will be magnified. That's just the way it is.

No need for image stabilization on a lens if it is to be used with a stabilizer like glidecam.
I know some steadicam operators use medium to telephoto lenses with their system, however it is more for stationary closeups or to give that little jittery handheld look to a degree. As Alex mentioned I d say max focal length is 35mm for a decent glide.
For 7d Tokina 11-16, and for 5Dmark2 Canon 16-35 f2.8L is good options.
Latest Rokinon 14mm f2.8 looks like a fantastic prime lens with/without a glidecam, especially for cropped cameras like 7D.
Zeiss has nice wide angle primes, but pricier.
