glidecam or tripod.....

I currently have a 501 tripod that im 80% happy with. I could use somem more stability though. So I am debating on wether or not to go with the glidecam 400 and body harness thing or a new tripod.
 
Two completely different tools... the Glidecam being great for flowing, moving camera shots, and the better tripod improving your pans and tilts. If your camera
is locked down a lot, you won't see much difference even with a better tripod,
since the Bogen is pretty solid.
 
iv decided to get a glide cam. I think this will give me an excuse to put life into my movies. What do you guys recomend the body vest thing or the for arm brace to go with it?
