SOLD
I am upgrading to a JonyJib with Motorized head with all of the bells and whistle and letting my Glidecam Camcrane 100 go for $325.
I will pay to ship anywhere in the lower 48. WEIGHTS NOT INCLUDED. You will receive the jib, shaft collar (locks the weights onto the jib) and the oversized washers (used for fine tuning). I do have the instruction manual and will include that as well. You will need to provide tripod (medium to heavy duty required), weights, c-wrench or socket set (I recommend) to assemble and change the lengths of the jib and an allen wrench to lock/unlock the shaft collar. I will happily provide phone/email assistance to the buyer if needed. It is very simple assemble and use but I want to make sure that you know that I am available for support.
Link to Glidecam Camcrane 200 (please note... I have the earlier, upgraded 100 version. Before the 200, there was the 100, then the upgraded 100 (thicker and stronger boom arms as well as other improvements.) Currently, the Glidecam Camcrane sells for $549.00
I purchased this last year on ebay. The owner had screwed up the pivot system and it was missing a nut (neither of which the seller told me about!!!). BUT, I was able to get everything fixed from Dave (great guy!) at Glidecam.
It now works perfectly as it was designed. The movement on it is smooth and fluid and it rotates 360 on its base.
The one thing that I will miss about this crane is the versatility. It can convert to four boom lengths... 8'1", 6'6", 4'10" and 3'3"... perfect for tight spaces and unique situations. (checkout my link below of my "car crane.")
The one thing that I will NOT miss is that WHEN PUTTING A TRIPOD HEAD ON THE THE HEAD UNIT OF THE JIB, this crane does have a bit of "play" in it. At the longest length, the camera can rock side to side if you make a sudden movement or try to operate the camera like a floating tripod head (see my link below for the 4'10 length). There is little to no "play" at the shorter lengths and without the additional head under the camera (see below). PLEASE KNOW THAT YOU CAN DELIVER A VERY CLEAN JIB SHOT WITH THIS. IT JUST TAKES PRACTICE. (video examples below)
Maybe ALL jibs in the sub-$500 range have a bit of play. I don't know. It didn't kill me but I notice it. And I would not feel right not passing the information along. I did mount the camera in an "underslung" position once and this virtually eliminated the play.
This pic of Jim with the Jib shows the camera mounted without the additional head (vs. the pix below WITH THE ADDITIONAL HEAD under the camera body)
EXAMPLES in motion (with this jib)....
The opening shot in Spymaster has a very nice jib shot. Click HERE to view.
There is another opening jib shot while rotating on the tripod in my last short film "Love." Click HERE to view. (warning: "LOVE" contains adult situations.)
Both SPYMASTER and "LOVE" were shot entirely with the jib. (I like to use the jib as a floating head. You will see that the "play" in the jib is not noticeable. You will quickly develop that hang of using this.
This link will take you to a post where I used this inside of my van at the 6'6" length. Car Crane Rig photos here... http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?p=948713#post948713

The little "arm" that the cheap little DV camera is attached to is not included. This is a simple "L" shape piece of metal from an old camera set-up that I had. I attached it to the head unit of the jib to mount a second camera. Also, in some pictures you may see the small arm holding a mini-dvd player (as a monitor)... this is not included. It is a modified small articulated arm.
Just to clarify.... DVX100b and the head that it is sitting on, Panasonic GS59 and the bracket it is sitting on, ladder, tripod, portable dvd player, cars and house are not included!
shoot me a PM or email me. I answer all questions! Thanks!
