just for those out there that are wondering what its capable of. I have been reading many threads about it so maybe its a good time to show what an affordable stabilizer can do.

just to show you that those immitations are a no go if you seriously think they can achieve the same result by making something that costs the entirety of collected change found under the cussions of your couch.

Nice and smooth! How are you liking the arm brace, I was thinking of picking one up for my 2000, is it a major improvement?

i never really use it, only tonight cause i was running around doing lots of arm movements.

but yeah it helps. i like not using it though, i feel more in control.

Nice! I was wondering how well it worked.

I bought one a couple weeks back. Its still in the box...as is the DVX. But its good to know I've made some decent purchases. Now I just gotta learn how to use them.

nice - tho' always liked the 4000 - heavier is better.

Lighter units are a complete ***** outdoors with a little wind.

Let me know if you have any issues - got one a few months ago and pretty much have the balancing down - wish they would include more info in the video though - they kind of leave you to yourself when balancing that thing at first.

yeah, actually, the first three days when i bought the 2000 pro, i wanted to throw it through my wall cause i just COULDNT get it in balance, but once ifigured it out, i get this sucker in balance within a minute everytime.

And really, all your paying in the glidecam 4000 is the slight added weight caused by the extended shaft length, im pretty sure the diameter are almost the same for the tubes. So just save an extra 150 bucks or 200 and get some pipe lol.

good job balancing the 2000 dude. the glidecams are such an awesome deal for what they are capabale of. absolutely the best handheld stabilizer there is imo.

did you jump on top of the bed at the end lol?

hehe yeah. might have been a little shake there cause i didnt know that i was going to do it, quite impulsive. but came out okay.

i wonder if i should send that to glidecam, maybe they could use it as a demo of what the device is capable of instead of that walk down the path, whjich is also really cool btw.

but yeah, the last bit i did jump on, but if you notice i do the same thing earlier in the video, but i dont jump on i kind of make it look like the bed never existed, cause it just hovers over it.

Wow that's amazing. How necessary is the arm for that kind of smoothness? I was thinking about going the DIY route (I bought that one book) but it looks pretty difficult and I don't have all the tools.

How much did this setup cost you?

well, i bought the glidecam2000 pro from someone off of the market place in the forums for around 150 US with arm brace was included. all i had to do was pay shipping and customs, which set me back a little more but for the price, i dont think ive ever bought anything which i have had so much use out of.

the 2000pro should be about $300 and the forearm brace about $150 new.
the forearm brace will limit you're verticle movement but increase the time before your forearm muscles catch fire and fall off.

It's amazing what a little more than $300 will do for you. Even I can look like a pro.

Smooth!

Thanks for sharing, now that we all know what your place looks like you'll never be safe again lol.
