Glidecam 2000 Pro for FX-1

I just purchased the Glidecam 2000 Pro for my FX-1, and I cannot balance this thing. I have spent over 6 hours trying to get it right. Has anybody been successful with this thing? Is the FX-1 too heavy for this particular model?
 
I went to an expo and the guy had it balanced great with the FX1. I've had no problem balancing it with the dvx. Sometimes you have to settle for less than perfect, but you can always get really close. It does take a while to get used to. Try adding more weight or extending the legnth of the pole the weights rest on.
