Glidecam 2000 or 4000 pro

is the dvx100b too heavy for a 2000 pro or should i get a 4000 pro.... i may be adding a ntg onto it as well....does the weight matter that much between the two

if you are just putting the camera, go with the 2000.
you will be the one holding the glidecam so you don't want too much weight.

I have the 4000 pro and the smooth shooter combination. I can't imagine using a stabilizer by just holding it with your arm.

I have the X-10 w/ HD 4000...and I second the above motion...unless you're Popeye (..or what to be him!). rogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Even with the vest & X-10 arm, this put incredible strain on your back.

Do you guys Half Hold the stem and the handle to equalize the weight?
Either Way I had Handle in right but my left arm was hurting all day afterwards from all that holding...I'm unsure whether to buy the vest...
